He and his wife have had an incredible experience with weight loss surgery (WLS). Tim had a gastric sleeve in July of 2021 and his wifejoined him on the healthy eating plan–both have lost weight and are enjoying more of a together life.
Tim was first introduced to weight loss surgery through his primary care physician (PCP). Tim believed that WLS was for people who were “900 pounds” until he learned about BMI. With this information as well as his family history and limited mobility, Tim decided to commit to WLS. At his highest weight, Tim weighed 360 pounds. His surgery weight was 300 pounds and his current weight is 201 pounds.
“It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my health. I’m off all my meds–BP, diabetes, cholesterol. I feel better than I have since I got out of the service. I’m able to work a lot of overtime; my feet and legs feel so much better. I don’t suffer walking around work anymore. All the aches are gone. I had bad sleep apnea. I had been sleeping in a recliner for years. Since I’ve lost all the weight the recliner is gone and my wife and I are sleeping in the bed together again.”
